Why does everyone think I’m stupid? Just because I did poorly on ITBS doesn’t mean that I should be in resource. I’m smart! I know I am! I was at the top of my class before we came here. My friends here only have to speak one language. They don’t understand how hard it is for me having to speak two. I have to translate the English that I hear into Arabic in order to form my response, then I have to translate my response from Arabic into English. It’s a lot of work, and sometimes I make mistakes. That does not mean I need to be in this special class. I just need more time to translate!
